Diane Achtel, 90, of Chicago, IL, passed away on November 7, 2024. Born September 13, 1934, to Sarah and Arthur Morgans; sister to the late David D. Morgans (Jean).
Diane married her high school sweetheart, the late Ray Achtel in 1955. Together 56 years, they were loving parents to Jill Walker and the late Scott (Christine) Achtel. Diane was a proud and devoted grandmother to Allison (Caleb) Blackmur, Jeanine (Austin) Klingner, and Daniel Achtel, and great-grandmother to Parker and Scott.
Family and friends were the focus of Diane’s life. She enjoyed spending time laughing and celebrating holidays, events, and milestones with her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She, herself, was the favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews, some biological and some the children of close friends.
Inurnment Friday, November 22nd 11:30 a.m. at Acacia Park Cemetery, 7800 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago. Please meet at the office.
