Diana Jenkins

Diana Jenkins (nee Nice), 61, of West Chicago, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Born June 30, 1951 in Danville, IL. She was the daughter of Woodrow and Helen (nee Brynn) Nice. Diana was an avid bowler with the Bowling Green Lassies. She recently retired from the finance department at DuPage County Convalescent Center. Diana enjoyed many things including dancing the Stationary Cha Cha at the Cadillac Ranch, fishing, snow skiing, and being in the outdoors especially in Mauston, WI, but what she really enjoyed was being with her family.
Survivors include husband Terry of 42 years; children Joe (Kara) and Steven (Amy); grandchildren Audrey, Jack, Tori, Henry and George; great granddaughter Brynn; and sister-in-laws Barb (Jeff), Debi (Paul), Cherl and Sue (Dan).
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 4:oop.m. until 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Friday, 10:30a.m. at the funeral home. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org or CNS Hospice, www.cnshomehealth.org would be appreciated.
