Dennis Lamont

Dennis W. Lamont, 81, of Elgin, died Monday, November 14, 2022. Born September 29, 1941 in Chicago. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Dennis received his electrical engineering degree from IIT. Dennis was the proud owner of Weldy-Lamont Associates for over 50 years and was proud to have installed electricity in tribal communities of Ghana, Africa. He enjoyed golfing and telling a good story. He will be missed by his family and friends. Beloved husband of 62 years (but dated since they were 14) to Patricia (nee Hansen); loving dad of Patti (Steve) Floyd, Cheryl (Kevin) DeRoo and Kelly (John) Ward; cherished grandpa of Allison (Scott), Steven (Kelsey), Christopher (Megan),Kayce (Jeremy), Kyle (Lisa), Taylor and Erin (James); dear great grandpa of Logan, Tatum, Emma, Rory, Colin, Henry, Owen, Jack, James and Blake; kind son of the late William and Irma (nee Hansen); kind brother of Lynne (Joseph) Pasnik and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Prayers Saturday 10:45 am going St. Mary Church, Mass 11:30 am. Interment St. Michael the Archangel.
