Dennis Johnson

Dennis “D.J.” W. Johnson, 54 of Bartlett, died suddenly Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Born September 22, 1961 in Elmhurst. Dennis was a graduate of the University of Illinois where he was a pitcher for the baseball team. He enjoyed all sports but the Fighting Illini was always his favorite. Dennis worked for CSX Transportation for more than 20 years. He enjoyed boating, using his RV and spending time with his family. Beloved husband of Daryl (nee Sutula); loving dad of Clayton “C.J.”, Jenna and Ben; cherished son of C. David and Phyllis (nee Hellenbrand; dear brother of Kevin (Melissa), Tim, Bob (Lisa), Gary (Sheri) and the late Sandy; caring uncle of Nate, Keith, Chris, Ryan, Steve, Kirsten, Shelly, Mitchell and Lucas; and fond brother-in-law of Bruce and Barry. Visitation 1p.m. to 8p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Sunday 10:30a.m. at the funeral home. Following services cremation at the Countryside Crematory.
