Dawn Lynn Niehus, 72, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of John, children Michael and Kara (Brian) Nagel and cherished grandaughters, Brooke and Aubree Nagel.
Born June 4, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and Carol Fredricksen, sister to the late Debra (Eladio) Fredricksen, Thomas (Edith) Fredricksen, Jeff (Anna) & Steve (Heather) Niedholdt.
Dawn graduated from Provisio West High School in 1972 and went on to earn her beautician license. She was a hairdresser for many years and enjoyed working in a beauty shop socializing with all.
John and Dawn settled in Bloomingdale to raise their children. As a mother, she was the absolute heart and soul of their home. She lived life with strength, spirit and laughter. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
