David Kelley

David J. Kelley, of Roselle, beloved husband of the late Dorothy nee Clabby. Dear father of Maureen Kelley, Patricia (Pete Myrick) Crawford, Carolyn (John) Morehead, Kathleen (Grier Wood) Kelley, Marilyn (Gerald) Freda and David (Suzanne) Kelley. Proud grandfather of Kelley (Bryan), Sarah (Jeff), David (Jennifer), Katie, Shannon, Annie, Maggie, Elizabeth, Ryan and Robert. Cherished great-grandfather of Rachel, Jimmy, Grace, Madeline and Lillian. Beloved son of the late Frank and Catherine nee Cascaden. Mr. Kelley proudly served our country as a Major with the 781st tank battalion during WWII, where he received a bronze metal for bravery. After the war he worked for General Motors, and retired after 30 years. He was a member of St. Walter's Catholic Church for 25 years. Mr. Kelley loved working in his beautiful garden. He had much to be proud of in his 92 years, but would most like to be remembered as a "good family man". Visitation Wednesday 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Thursday visitation 9:00 a.m. until time of mass 10:00 a.m. at St. Walter Catholic Church 130 W. Maple Roselle, Il. 60172. Interment St. Michael the Archangel.
