David Florez

David Florez, 89, of Manteno, IL passed away on December 11, 2023. David was born on Januar 22, 1934 to Esquia and Elodia Florez in Chicago, IL and he served in the Army during the Korean War. He was so proud to be a Paratrooper, a ballroom dancer and eventually owning his own business doing carpentry and landscaping. David is survived by his loving children JoAnn Florez Perez, Laura Ann Cano, and his granddaughter Kristina Khalvati, who was like a daughter to him, his grandson Isaiah; he was a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to so many. David was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his parents Esquia and Elodia, and his son Frankie.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home, 333 S. Roselle Rd. Roselle, IL 60172. A private interment will take place. For more information, please contact Countryside Funeral Home, 630-529-5751.
