David Barker

David Barker, 65, of Bartlett, passed away peacefully at home January 24, 2014. David was the beloved husband of Sherry for 46 years; Loving father of Stephanie (Jason) Artingstall and Heath Barker; Proud grandfather of Lynkin, Delanie, and Dylan Artingstall, and Cassie; Cherished son of the late Robert and Arlene Barker; Dear brother of Michael (Jan) Barker; Proud uncle of Lucas (Crystal), Jase, and Jack Barker. David will also be missed by his devoted friend Russ Thompson, his beloved cat Maggie, and many other friends and relatives.

David was a Vietnam Army veteran and a former United Airlines employee. He owned and operated Barker Automotive for 22 years and was a drag racing enthusiast.

Visitation for David Sunday February 2, 2:00p.m. until time of service 8:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Following services cremation will take place at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donation to the family for Sherry's continued care would be appreciated.
