Darrin Bax

Darrin C. Bax, 52, of Bartlett passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 9th, he is survived by his children Ryan, Kyle, Ethan, Ethan's sister Samantha and Kyle and Ryan's sister Natalee; sister Donna (Doug) Schmitt; uncle of Lauren Ashley; son of the late Hilary and Eileen, nee Hermann and countless friends. Darrin loved spending time with family and friends. He was famous for his grilling and get togethers for holidays, sporting events or just to be with friends and family. He was a "all in" dad, who coached soccer and was on the council and boards for Three Fire Council, also taking on the challenge of senior patrol leader for OKPIK (cold weather adventure program for the Boy Scouts). He and Ethan enjoyed spending time together with Bartlett Troop 26 and working on his '76 Corvette. Darrin was a valued territory manager for WISCO corporation for 30 years. He was also found time to be a instructor of welding technology at Harper College. He was an avid sports fan, who cheered on the Bears, St. Louis Blues and Cardinals. A celebration of Darrin's life will be held Saturday January 12th, from 3:00 pm - time of service 7:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Cremation will be private prior to services Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations to Boy Scout Troop 26 415 W. North Ave., Bartlett, IL. 60103.
