Darlene Koertgen

Darlene Flora Koertgen(nee Phillips), 89, of Roselle formerly of Hoffman Estates died Monday December 8, 2014. Darlene graduated Chilton High School, Chilton, WI in 1941 and then attended University of WI Oshkosh graduating in 1945. She taught at Oakfield High School, Oakfield, WI from 1945-1947 then taught English at Schaumburg Junior High School and Robert Frost Junior High School from 1957 until her retirement in 1984. Darlene was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames XVII Century. She was the beloved wife of 66 years of James; loving mother of Michael(Rosie), Kathleen Koertgen, Timothy(Joni), Kristine Koertgen, and Mary Jo(Dirk, DC) Martin; dear daughter of the late Ebon and Ella(nee Kalwitz) Phillips; fond sister of Nadine(the late Vernon, DDS) Damer and George(Donna) Phillips; loving grandmother of Heather Koertgen, Shannon(Kevin) Varrone, Dirk, Jr.(Gayle) Martin, Justin Koertgen, and Sara Jo Koertgen; proud great grandmother of Nicholas, Charles, Mary Grace, and Lucille Beau.
