Daniel James Tumminaro exited this world peacefully and on his own terms on September 19, 2021. He was a loving and devoted father, brother, partner, son, and friend. He is survived by his four children and their mother; Ellen Tumminaro, Mallory Tumminaro(31), Tyler Tumminaro (29), Zachary Tumminaro (26), and Emma Tumminaro (21). He is also survived by six brothers and his sister. Joe Tumminaro (Carol), Bill Tumminaro (Lynn), Bob Tumminaro (Sugako), Peter Tumminaro (Anne), David Tumminaro (Ginny), John Tumminaro (Amanda), and Nancy McPartland (Tom) along with many, MANY nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Joseph and Phyllis Tumminaro.
Dan worked tirelessly in the lifelong cultivation of his legacy; his family - both the family he was born into and the family he built. He had an insatiable mind full of deep and lasting hunger to understand the inner workings of all things and if the understanding didn’t come right away, he was compelled to dismantle whatever might be at hand piece by piece for closer analysis before lovingly putting it back together; gaining the understanding he so craved. He was the saver of the day, the fixer, and the most engaged listener and advice giver. He was also an avid car-singer, and surprisingly snuggly for a man who almost exclusively wore motorcycle leather. He will be both painfully mourned and powerfully missed.
