Daniel H. Slomiany

Daniel H. Slomiany passed away on August 31, 2026. He will be remembered with love and gratitude by those who knew him and shared in his life.

At the heart of Dan's life was his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Slomiany. He also leaves behind his children, Karen (Tony Chaves) McGovern, Sharon (Gene) Hanyzewski, and Bill Klein. In the generations that followed him, Daniel’s family continued to grow and flourish, and he is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Their lives stand as part of his enduring legacy, and his memory will remain woven through family gatherings, treasured stories, and the quiet, lasting bonds of love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Slomiany, and his mother, Elizabeth Slomiany. Their memory remained part of the foundation of his life, and now he rests in that eternal reunion.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 6, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of Bartlett, 950 S Bartlett Rd, Bartlett, Illinois 60103. A Masonic Funeral Rite will be held at 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service to follow. Cremation will be private. Dan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. May his life continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him, and may his family find comfort in the many memories they carry forward.
