“And you’ll love me till my heart stops…”

Our hearts are broken at the loss of a beloved father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Daniel Delgado. Daniel was born in Riverside, California on July 12, 1961, and left this earth on February 27, 2022, at the young age of 60 after a 40-day battle with COVID. He died as peacefully as could be arranged alongside his five brothers and sisters and his two children. He is survived by his mother Ofelia Delgado and father Juan Delgado; his siblings Socorro (Don) Swanson, Alicia Delgado, Ismael (Leslie) Delgado, Diana (Charles) Horton, and Juan (Tanya) Delgado Jr.; his son Tomas Delgado; his daughter Cecilia Delgado; his grandson Nikko Delgado; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Upon graduating from DeVry University, Dan began his career as an engineer at General Dynamics, and later lent his talents to Northrop Grumman, Bay Networks, Nortel Networks, Micro Muse, Four Seasons Heating and Cooling, and HD Plumbing. He loved a variety of music, old and new. Like his tastes in music, he had a diverse set of interests, career pursuits, and skills. From carpentry to electrical engineering, from landscaping to computer network engineering, from bicycle mechanics to audio. Despite leading a life full of rewarding experiences, careers, interests, hobbies, and dreams, Dan's passing was sudden and too soon.

He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Tom Lutz, and his grandparents.

Daniel often said he was the happiest in San Diego where he lived after graduating college. It is our hope that we can spread his ashes there someday.
