Dana Castillo

Dana Castillo, nee Herndon was born to Lee and Elizabeth Herndon in Springfield, Mo. on May 15, 1953. She graduated from Central H.S. in 1971. Dana also graduated from the Univversity of Chicago with honors. Dana married Mario Castillo on December 27, 1974. She has loved in the metro Chicago area since 1977 until her death on may 12th after a valiant battle with cancer. Dana was preceded in death by her father Lee. She is survived by her husband, Mario; two sons Mario Lee and Nicolas; her mother Elizabeth; brothers Lee and Jay; sisters Kaye Magers and Ellen Herndon; many nieces, nephews and friends all of who loved her dearly. Dana will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Dana touched many lives with her love of life and lived every moment to the fullest.
