Constance “Connie” Mueller

June 3, 1957 – November 13, 2025

Constance “Connie” Mueller, of South Elgin, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 3, 1957, Connie was the daughter of John and Genevieve (née Eggers) Kropf. She grew up alongside her three brothers, John, Tom, and Bob, and attended Niles East High School.

Connie was known for her warm heart, strong work ethic, and her ability to make those around her feel welcomed and cared for. She spent many years working as a waitress, where her friendly smile and quick wit brightened countless days. Later, she worked at Jewel-Osco in South Elgin, where she was well-liked by her coworkers and customers alike.

On July 3, 1989, Connie married Christopher Mueller. Together they raised their family in South Elgin, where her mother lived just across the street—a closeness that meant the world to her. Connie devoted her life to her children, Anthony and Trisha, and later found immense joy in becoming a grandmother to Elizabeth and Peyton.

Connie loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her delicious meals. She had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures—sunshine on a summer afternoon, a well-tended garden, and the company of loved ones.

Connie is survived by the father of her children, Christopher Mueller; her beloved children Anthony (Amanda) Mueller and Trisha (Tyler) Mueller; her cherished grandchildren Elizabeth and Peyton Mueller; her brothers Thomas and John Kropf; her niece Courtney Kropf; and several longtime, close friends who remained by her side throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Genevieve Kropf, and her brother Robert Kropf.

Though her family grieves her loss deeply, they take comfort in knowing that Connie has gone home to the Lord and is now reunited with her loved ones who went before her. Her kindness, strength, and love will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
