Clifford Brege

Clifford J. Brege, 82, formerly of Streamwood, died July 2, 2009 of complications from diabetes with soul mate of 35 years Alma, two children and a grandson by his side in Tucson, AZ. A veteran of the Navy having served in WWII he married Shirley Ruhlach on June 28, 1947. She passed away September 19, 1972. In 1989 Clifford retired from Illinois Tool Works out of Elgin. He moved to Arizona with Alma in 1990.
Survivors include his faithful, devoted and loving soul mate Alma Alleman; children Donna (Russ) Newburg, Christine Young, Jeffery, Thomas (Lisa) and Robert (Jackie); 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren with one due in November; sisters Betty (Dave) Young and Carol McKay and brother Richard (Doris).
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, parents Peter and Rose, nee Jacobs, and brother James.
Visitation Sunday from 2 - p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home,950 South bartlett Rd, Bartlett. prayers Monday 8:45 a.m. going to St. John the Evangelist, Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association, 30 N. Michigan Ave, Ste 2015, Chicago, IL 60602 would be appreciated.
