Claude Smith Jr, 81 of Streamwood. Beloved husband of 57 years to Beverly (nee Livergood); loving dad of Al Smith and Lisa (Mike) Grahan; cherished poppy of Payton and Samantha; dear son of the late Claude Sr and Helen (Patzke) and kind brother of Don (Margie) Smith. Claude enjoyed meeting people and telling a good joke; he loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible, especially his grandkids. Visitation 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Thursday 10:30a.m. at the funeral home. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, www.ovarian.org, would be appreciated.
