Clark Lowell

A memorial service for Clark E. Lowell of Arlington Heights, will be held 11:00a.m. Friday Dec. 4, 2009 at the Lutheran Home for the Aged 800 Oakton Arlington Hts., IL 60004. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. Born Sept. 13, 1915 in Calhoun County, MI, Clark died Nov. 13, 2009 in Arlington Heights. He attended Western Michigan University and graduated from Argubright Business College. Clark served in the Army during WWII as a Sergeant. He worked for J.C. Penney Co. as an executive for 35 years. After he retired in 1975 he and his wife Betty, moved from Rochester, NY to Palm Beach, FL then to Bradenton, FL. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, teacher at Edison High School, Adjunct Professor in the College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology, Lapidarian, member of the Barbershop Chorus of the Keys, member of the West Bradenton Baptist Church and choir, Past President of Ironwood condo association, Past President of the H.C.S.C. J.C. Penney Florida Group.
He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Lowell of Rolling Meadows, IL, son David Lowell of Rochester, NY; beloved grandchildren Michael Stoutenburg of GA, Christine Stoutenburg of IL and Sara Berry of IL and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth “Betty”.
