Clara Zamora, 73, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Roselle, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025. Born September 12, 1951 in the Philippines, she was the daughter of Vicente and Marciana Abrigo. Clara was the beloved wife of the late Fernando Zamora, and a loving mother to Anna (Blair) Schlatter, Bernie Zamora, and Darrell Zamora. She was a cherished grandma to Stephanie (Garrett) Long and Michael (Autumn Garcia) Guadagnoli, and an adored great-grandma (affectionately known as “Little Grandma”) to Shepherd, Levi, and Michael Jr. Clara is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Clara’s professional life spanned over 40 years as a dietary supervisor at Norwegian American Hospital and Alexian Brothers Hospital, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. Her co-workers became friends and then became part of the family. A devout Catholic, Clara was an active member of St. Walter Church, where she enjoyed traveling on pilgrimages with family and fellow parishioners.
In addition to her professional and spiritual devotion, Clara had a special gift for nurturing life. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. She was particularly fond of desert rose, white jasmine, and hibiscus plants. Clara cherished her family, especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren, and connecting with loved ones in the Philippines through FaceTime.
