Clara Filippo

Clara San Filippo, nee DeRobertis, formerly of Des Plaines, passed away peacefully the morning of February 12 th in Bartlett. Clara was the former wife of the late Vito P. whom she married on September 7, 1941; mother of Vito M. (Carol); grandmother of Christine (Barry) Quinn and Michael; greatgrandmother of Amanda, Briana, Benjamin, Mackenzie and Mikaela; sister of the late Peter (late Grace), late Louis (late Evelyn), late Frank; sister in law of Theresa DeRobertis; daughter of the late Michele and the late Angela, nee Ferrari; cousin of Sylvia (late Sid) Kerbis and the late Carmela; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Clara was one of the origihal Cook County Sheriff Policewomen. She loved her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren with all her heart. She loved life, loved her family, loved people - often wanting to know a person's heritage; being a proud Cook County sheriff she never took any bull from anyone. Visitation Saturday 9:00 am until the time of service 10:30 am at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Interment Assumption Cemetery.
