Christopher White
May 15, 1967 — March 27, 2018
Christopher David White, of Algonquin Illinois, left this life to begin his eternal life on Tuesday night, March 27, 2018. He leaves behind his beautiful wife Maria, of 20 years, their 11-year old son David, his mother Irene, and sister Dawn. His father Duane passed away in April 2016.
He always had a knack for surprising people. This shy and quiet kid would suddenly decide to put on an Elvis show complete with requisite black-hair wig for family get-togethers. He became a boxer, of all things, to learn to defend himself. He even tried out his new skills on one of our uncles who challenged him to a round. One-two-three-- a right jab, a left punch, and a right uppercut, left our uncle with a broken nose! Then, one day he met the love of his life and announced he was getting married.
Chris and Maria were married on February 7, 1997, at arguably one of the most rambunctious and enjoyable weddings this family has ever seen-- a true celebration of love and life. On March 23, 2007, Christopher and Maria became proud and amazed parents to David Christopher White, and their lives changed in the most profound way. David became the center of their world, as well as the White and Resendiz (Maria’s) families.
Everyone was instantly drawn to Christopher; children clung to him, people trusted and relied on him, even animals would follow him around… like Noah. He was a dedicated, hard worker, who never called in sick until he was not able to work these last few years. Even though his medical woes were painful and debilitating, he pressed on and tried never to bother people with his troubles.
He was dependable, kind, thoughtful, contemplative, and silly. He was not only Duane Eugene (father) and Irene Tanuan’s (mother) son, Dawn’s brother, an uncle, a cousin-- he somehow became everyone’s son, brother, uncle, and cousin. Our family, and this world has lost someone truly special. We will miss his quiet demeanor and selfless kindness to whomever was the focus of his attention-- an example for us all.
Visitation Saturday March 31, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of service 12:00 noon at The Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd.(at Barrington rd.), Streamwood, Il.
