Christopher John Ludovice , age 54, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Lakewood, Illinois. He was born on May 5, 1958 to Joan and the late Donald J. Ludovice of Hoffman Estates.
Chris had a long career as a master of auto body work with exceptional mechanical skills in a variety of areas. He was a devoted husband and dad, and loyal friend and neighbor.
Chris was unique. Anyone who knew him knew what a character he was. He loved life, spicy food, motorcycles, his family and the Lord. He was an active member of the Fox Valley Baptist Church in Carpentersville.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cherri Towry Ludovice and loving daughter, Rachel of Elgin; his Mother, Joan Ludovice of Hoffman Estates; 1 brother, Jeff (Cindy) Ludovice of Hebron, Indiana; inlaws: Wade and Connie Towry of Buffalo Grove, Ron and Angie Books of Elgin; grandmother, Katherine “Mema” Tillman of Elgin; brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard Towry of Hoffman Estates; Carla (John) Giuccione, Arlington Heights, Abraham Betancourth of California; Danielle (Ocilel) Haro of Arlington Heights, Mark (Jenny) Books of Fredricksburg, Virginia, Jon (Vicky) Books of Sycamore, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald J. Ludovice and a sister, Lisa Kirk-Cordes and was joined in death by his daughter, Alyssa Ludovice.
A time of visiting with family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service following on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fox Valley Baptist Church at 16N562 Vista Lane, East Dundee, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ludovice Memorial Fund at ChrisAndAlyssa.org.
