Christine Ann (Zib) Pillers, 54, a resident of Bartlett, Illinois passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
 
 Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday, January 9th at Countryside Funeral Home, Bartlett, Illinois. Viewing will be held at 10:00 am with funeral services starting at 11:00 am on Monday, January 10th at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Mt. Prospect, Illinois.  Christine Ann Zib was born on November 1, 1967, at Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines, Illinois, the daughter of George and Donna (Haack) Zib. She attended school in Mt. Prospect and graduated as Valedictorian from Prospect High School in May 1985. She attended Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana and graduated with a B.S. in accounting in 1989.
 
 Christine married Jeffrey Andrew Pillers on August 8, 1992, at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. They lived in Carol Stream, Illinois for 18 years and had their three children, Zachary (24), Caroline (21), and Allison (18) Pillers. They moved to Bartlett, Illinois in 2013.
 
 Christine was a member of the Chi Sigma Xi sorority (Chi Omega) at Valparaiso University. She passed the CPA exam on her first attempt. She worked for KPMG, Comdisco, and BNSF Railroad. Later, Christine worked as the Treasurer for Our Savior Lutheran Church from 2007-2017. She worked for the Suburban Teamsters of Northern Illinois Pension from 2018 until her final days.
 
 Christine was a volunteer and member at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carol Stream. She later joined St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Charles, Illinois. She was an active volunteer in the community, where she co-led her daughter’s girl scout troop, was her son’s high school booster representative, helped within her childrens’ youth groups and mission trips, as well as being a vacation bible school volunteer. She volunteered for any opportunity to care and help others.
 
 Her hobbies were her children, caring for animals, and gardening. She loved spending quality time playing board games and traveling with her family. She enjoyed shopping at Von Maur, eating ice cream at Oberweis, taking pictures of sunsets, and attending Keith Urban concerts.
 
 Christine was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in January of 2017. She fought a long and courageous battle for almost 5 years. She showed unwavering faith and strength through God. She passed away surrounded by her family and is finally at peace, free of pain and suffering.
 
 She is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey Pillers, Bartlett, Illinois; her children, Zachary, Houston, Texas, Caroline and Allison, Bartlett, Illinois; her brother John Zib, McHenry, Illinois; her mother, Donna (Haack) Zib, Mt. Prospect, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father, George Zib.
 
 Her pride and joy were her family and friends. She was a light to everyone she knew and a beacon of hope.
