Christine Auer

God opened his arms to welcome his angel Christine Lynnea Auer on March 30, 2013. She was the daughter of Alfred “Mick” and Patricia (nee Stark) Auer. Born on July 10, 1968 in Winfield, IL Chrissy passed away surrounded by her family at CDH from complications of pneumonia. In spite of being born with Spina Bifida, she became an independent, always happy and caring person. Chrissy enjoyed her independence residing at Cottonwood House in Aurora since 2005. She always had a smile for her housemates, Allison, Bethany, Irma, Michelle and Sherry. While living there she enjoyed working at the Thompson Center.

Chrissy is also survived by her sister Sue (Wayne) Norris and their children Alex and Tayler, brother Jeff, sister Kathy (Eric) Engstrom and their children Tom and Dan Salamone, sister Melissa (Tim) Conover and their children Rachel and Timmy. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Millard and Eleanor (nee Mittman) Stark and paternal grandparents Alfred (Mike) and Virginia (nee Ward) Auer, cousin Elizabeth Van Doren, uncle Don Baylor.

Chrissy’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday April 3rd , 3:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Thursday 9:45 a.m.to Resurrection Church. Mass 10:30a.m. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Towhship Cemetery where her grandpa, grandma, uncle and cousin rest. In lieu of flowers A.I.D.
