Chas Schroeder

Charles “Chas” Schroeder, 45, of South Elgin, died Thursday, July 7, 2022. Born February 13, 1977 in St. Charles. A proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 265. Chas loved video games, all things G.I. Joe, Mustangs, and animals, especially cats. He liked mixing music and arguing about politics and was known for his sense of humor and silly faces. He will be missed. Beloved son of Linda; loving brother of Amy (Mark) Majewski and Abby (Nick) VanTholen; cherished godfather of Madison and uncle of Mitchell, Tyler, Jack, Mason, Collin and Cody. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Anderson Animal Shelter now Anderson Humane, www.ahconnects.org, would be appreciated.
