Charles Michael Shumway

Charles "Chuck" Michael Shumway, 62, of Bartlett, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 in the late afternoon. Charles was the beloved husband of Elizabeth for 35 years, but they had known each other for 39; loving father of Matthew (fiancée Candace Stillwell) Shumway and Alicia (Austin) Mytnik; proud grandfather of the late Baby M Mytnik; cherished son of Maryann (the late Art) Lindblad and the late Raymond Shumway; dear brother of Thomas (Wanda) Shumway and late brother Ray (the late Barbara) Shumway; step brother of Daniel (Cathy) Lindblad and Caroline Lindblad; fond uncle of Paige (fiancé Jacob) DelMonico, Holly DelMonico, Andrew DelMonico and Tommy Shumway Jr and great uncle to Thomas Shumway; loving brother-in-law of Laura (John) DelMonico; dear son-in-law of George and Karen West. And wonderful dog father to Trigger (Shumway) and grandpapa Bella (Myntik).

Charles (Chuck as everyone knows him) enjoyed lottery tickets, coffee and being with his family ~ he will be missed greatly.

Celebration of life will be held on November 29, 11:00am until time of memorial service 2:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett.
