Charles Hollis

January 18, 1937 — August 9, 2025

After a life well-lived, Charles "Chuck" Edward Hollis, 88, of South Elgin, found peace on August 9, 2025. Charles was the beloved husband of Roberta "Bobbie" Hollis (nee Henderson) for 61 years; loving father of Elizabeth (Robert) Wilke Linda Bachelor, Christine (Matthew) Johnson, Charles (Shannon) Hollis, Marsha (Shaun) Stillwell, and Robert (Samantha) Hollis; proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dear brother of June, Roy, Margaret, Alvin, James, JoAnn, the late Doris, Bill, and Martha

Chuck loved being with family and was always concerned with everyone's wellbeing, and if they were feeling "ok," regardless of your answer, he would always offer a glass of milk for your woes. Chuck will forever be in our hearts. The family also would like to thank the staff of JourneyCare Hospice as they are the true angels of the medical field.
