Casimir J. Malis, age 95 was born March 3rd 1919, passed away peacefully Monday, February 9th at home, surrounded by his family. He was a true gentleman to all and the beloved husband of JoAnn; loving father of Mike (Anna) Malis, Juli Tidy, Dawn Skarzynski, Debbie (Michael) Keane. Cherished grandfather of Eric Wilberschied, Brittany (Matt) Lowen, Heidi (Kyle) Klosterman, Lauren (Chris) Logue, Brianna Ladesic, Hope Wilberschied, Devin Ladesic, and Eva Malis. Proud great grandfather of Ella Logue, Bennett Klosterman, Beckett Ladesic, and Eliana Klosterman.
He was a Tech Seargant in the United States Army Air Corps and a veteran of WWII. He was a distinguished salesman and buyer for Sears Roebuck and Co, where he worked for 38 years until his retirement in 1980. He was active in the Saint Peter Damian Church as part of the choir and Minister of Care for many years.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10th from 4 - 9 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Wednesday, 9:45 a.m. to St. Peter Damian Catholic Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Following Mass, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to JoAnn Malis for a memorial in his name.
