Carole A Tucek

Carole A. Tucek, aged 89, of Carol Stream, IL, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026. Born on July 6th, 1936, in Westville, IL, Carole lived a life rich in love, service, and dedication.

Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles Tucek, and her parents, Joseph and Agnes Attutis. She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her children: Laura Boyne (Philip Strods), Charles (Amy) Tucek, Scott Tucek, and Carrie (Adam) Babcox. Carole’s joy extended to her grandchildren, Matthew (Tatiana) Tucek, Joseph (Alicia) Tucek, and Remi Babcox, and her precious great-grandson, Myles Tucek.

Her career began as a radio operator for several airlines, but she found her true calling as a career guidance counselor at Glenbard North High School, where she dedicated nearly two decades to helping adolescents plan their futures. Carole was also a talented seamstress, volunteering her skills at the Carol Stream Youth Center for 10 years, and she sang with joyful spirit in the St. Luke's church choir for almost two decades.

Carole had a passion for gardening and quilting, crafts that she lovingly shared with her family. Above all, she had an unbounded affection for her grandchildren and great-grandson, who brought her immense pride and joy.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 11:00 am until time of Memorial Service 1:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 S. Bartlett Rd. Bartlett, IL 60103.  

As we remember her, we cherish the indelible mark she left on all who knew her, a testament to her warmth, compassion, and zest for life. Carole will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
