Carol Hotton

Carol June Hotton, 82, Elgin, IL passed away on October 6, 2024. Born on June 9, 1942 in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Esther Hotton. Carol is survived by her sister Judith Doll (Kerry Doll); nephew David Doll (Lori Doll); niece Laura Doll; grandnephews Carson Doll, Colton Doll, Nathan Kotwica, and Trace Kotwica.

Carol chose to pursue a teaching career for 32 years. Being a teacher, was all she ever wanted to be. Having no children of her own, she often said that her students were her children and she loved each one as if they were her own. She was happiest in the classroom. After retirement, she loved spending time with her grandnephews, gardening, traveling, and enjoyed exploring the cultural and historical sites and beauty of Chicago.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. Bartlett, IL 60103. Interment will be private at Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
