Carol Filipponi

Carol Beverly Filipponi, 81, nee Venuto, formerly of Mt. Prospect and Park Ridge; beloved wife for 62 years of Angelo; loving and cherished mother of Jean (Ron) Kleinschmidt, Sandra (Steve) Milano, Patricia (Harry) Ratschan and Anthony (Charmaine); grandmother of Nicholas (Samantha), Eric (Travyn), Frank, Conrad (Krystal), Grace Paige, Angelo and Dominic; great-grandmother of Rowin and Eyra; loving sister of Janet (late Don) Ciaffone and Bob (Daisy); sister in law to the late Theresa and William Gasparino and the late Philip Filipponi.

Carol was involved in the Park Ridge Welcome Wagon program through the Chamber of Commerce which invited new members to feel like part of the community. She was an avid reader of mystery and romance novels and enjoyed knitting baby blankets for her grandchildren. She never missed an episode of Jeopardy! and loved doing her crossword puzzles. She was a devout woman of faith and prayer. She was also a loving aunt and close friend to many. She will be dearly and deeply missed by all who loved her."

Private family gathering Saturday, January 2nd, 10:00 am at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile South of Irving Park Rd.) Roselle. Interment Mt. Carmel. However, the family will be gathering at the Queen of Heaven chapel for a service at 11:00 am on the same day, prior to her burial at Mt. Carmel.
In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
