Carmen J. Molina (Chavarria), 76, of Carpentersville, died peacefully surrounded by loving family after a short battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Born October 22, 1946 in Laredo, Texas. Carmen was an excellent cook whose biggest passions were always her faith and her family. Beloved wife of Israel Molina; loving mother of Tony (Margarita Hernandez) Molina, Israel (Cheryl Goll) Molina Jr, Gerardo Molina, Linda (Tim) Holder and Damian (Margarita Ruiz) Molina and cherished grandma/abuela of 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and kind aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ernesto Chavarria, mother Guadalupe Molina and brother Reynaldo Chavarria. Visitation 1:00pm until time of service 4:00pm Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
