Carl Vachlin

Carl A. Vachlin, 47 of Roselle died at his home on Sunday, October 21, 2018. He was born April 16, 1971 in Park Ridge. Carl enjoyed life to the fullest. He especially enjoyed watching his kids do what they love in their sports and in their lives, kayak fishing, camping, performing in and directing community theater, respectful political discussions, Chicago sports, especially the Cubs and Bears. His greatest passion was always his family. Beloved husband of 15 years to Kelly (nee Magrady); loving father of Erin and Karl; cherished son of Carl J. and Mary (nee Marker); dear brother of Victoria (Glenn Weishaupt) Weiser and Rebecca (Kevin) Salkeld; kind uncle of Brendan, Hannah, Katilyn, Sebastian and Riley; fond son-in-law of Thomas and Peggy Magrady and brother-in-law of Tracy (Robert) Edenhofer and close friend of Dennis Haton. Visitation 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 333 S Roselle Rd (1/4 mile south of Irving Park Rd), Roselle. Funeral Friday 9:15a.m. to St John the Evangelist Church, Mass 10:00a.m. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
