Carl Richter

Carl Leslie Richter, 75, of Schaumburg, died December 11, 2024. Carl was the beloved father of Laura (Mark) Payton and Brian (Sol) Richter; proud grandfather of Gabriella, AJ, Stella and Gianna; dear cousin of Phyllis Hubeny and Ernie (Jane) Albright.

Carl was a StarTrek enthusiast, Bears and White Sox fan, a dog lover, a bookworm, an avid movie watcher, and a remarkable baker. He liked history, genealogy, space exploration, and a good road trip. But nothing mattered more to him than his kids and his grandkids. He loved attending all of his grandchildren's activities and spending time with them whenever possible no matter the drive or the temperatures. Those who knew him describe him as someone who never complained, who always made people laugh, and who always found the positive in things. Those qualities, and his enduring love for his family, are what he leaves behind.

Memorial Visitation Monday December 16, 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 South Roselle Road (1/2 mile South of Irving Park Road) Roselle. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory.
