Brian Paul Roy

Brian Paul Roy, 73, of Winfield passed away July 26, 2026.

He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Melanie; his children Tami (Matt Placko), Rian (Matt Long), and Brianna; his siblings Nancy Busch and Bruce (Suzy) Roy; niece Diane Koritko and nephew Kris Roy; great niece and nephew Heather and Robert, their children; and his beloved dog Kaiser. He was preceded in death by his faithful companion Teddy.

Brian was a proud United States Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War as part of the First Calvary Division. He was an auto mechanic for over 50 years. Brian loved watching action movies, TV shows such as the Sopranos, Bosch, Southland and many other similar shows. Most important of all was the time he spent with his family. He loved his wife and children more than anything, doing everything he could take make sure they always had what they needed.

Visitation Thursday, July 30, 3:00pm – 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett. Stories will be shared at 5:30pm. Funeral Friday, 8:45am at the funeral home, to St. Peter Damian Church, Mass 10:30am. Following services cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory.
