With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Brian Charles Hickman. Born on February 1st, 1969, and departed this world unexpectedly on February 13th, 2026, at the young age of 57. Brian was a beloved resident of Chicago, Illinois and a life long resident of Streamwood, Illinois.
Brian’s warm and enthusiastic spirit touched the lives of all who crossed his path. He is survived by his devoted wife, Terri Williams, with whom he shared countless cherished memories and adventures. He also leaves behind his adored mother, Carole Hickman, who nurtured his zest for Iife from a young age. Proud “Bwian” to Katelyn (Ryan) Vandermast, Tim (Shelby) Ohlrich, John Ohlrich, and William (Trinette) Ohlrich. He lived for his grandchildren Wyatt, Charlotte, Ivy, and Rhett, who brought immense joy to his life. His internal bond, only broken by dealth, lives on through his brothers, Christopher (Angela) Hickman and David (Kalanikae) Hickman. He treasured his nephew Chase and his niece Heather. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hickman, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
An avid outdoorsman, Brian found solace in nature, whether he was fishing, hunting, camping under the stars, or enjoying a barbecue with friends. He was a passionate fan of Cubs baseball and the Greenbay Football Packers, cheering on his teams with unwavering loyalty, despite his notorious bad NFL Pick’em League selections. Brian’s love of grilling and smoking meat brought family and friends together for many unforgettable feasts.
Music held a special place in Brian’s heart, infusing their home and his soul with rhythm and joy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 1640 South Greenmeadows Blvd, Streamwood. Funeral Mass will be conducted at Brian’s childhood church St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:00am, located at 502 S Park Blvd, Streamwood. Following the services, cremation will be conducted privately at Countryside Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Fanconi Cancer Foundation, www.fanconi.org, would be gratefully received.
Brian will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will endure through the cherished memories and love he leaves behind. May he find eternal peace, embraced by the love of those he held dear.
