Brian Burlette

Brian Paul Burlette, 49, of Streamwood, passed away on August 18, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.

Brian was the beloved son of Kate and the late Gary Burlette; dear brother of Rebecca and brother-in-law to Shawn Rose; and loving uncle to Brayden, Grayson and Landon Rose, with whom he shared a deep and joyful bond. Whether it was playing video games, taking them fishing or spoiling them at Christmas, Brian treasured every moment spent with his nephews.

Brian found peace and purpose in caring for the koi pond he built with his dad. He took great pride in nurturing the koi fish and surrounding it with beautiful plants, including his favorite, Japanese maples. Brian also enjoyed fishing year-round, including ice fishing, and was known for being a skilled chef cooking on his Big Green Egg.

At just 15, Brian began working in the fireplace business alongside his dad and grandma, Evelyn. This first job grew into a career with him eventually going on to own his own fireplace store, Main Street Fireplace & BBQ in St. Charles. Brian remained a respected member of this industry until his passing.

Brian is survived by his loving cousins, Wanda (Dave) Damato; TJ Javens: Nathan (Jennifer) Javens; Jenna (the late Trey) Anderson; Heather (Isaac) Corins; Allison Chrastka; Adrian (Mariana) Vergara; Brittany Vader; and Kendall Turcotte. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Jean and Tom Javens; Dave and Valerie Turcotte; and Carrie and John Hartzler.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Gary; his aunt, Shirley Kadzki; his grandmothers, Evelyn Turcotte and Helen Burlette; and grandfathers, George Burlette and Kenneth Turcotte.

Memorial visitation will be from 11:00am - 2:00pm Saturday, August 30, at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett.

Brian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The holidays will never be the same without his humorous retelling of childhood stories and his take on current events.
