Brent Branca

October 21, 1955 — July 7, 2024

Brent Branca, a resident of Roselle, IL. and former resident of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully in his home with his wife by his side on July 7 ^th , 2024. He taught in Rockford School District for 33 years. Brent was part of the Guilford High School football coaching staff that won the 1982 State Championship Title.

Brent graduated in 1973 from Guilford High School and was an All-Conference player and won a full ride to the University of Missouri. He went on to graduate from Illinois State and earned a master’s degree in education. Brent enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, reading, horse betting, and following all sports.

Brent is survived by his wife, Diana and three children; Sam (Cary), Ben (Allie), Betsy (Brent); Siblings; Shelia (Hector) Carcedo, Nicola (Tom) Daniels, Lisa (Dave) McKinney, Drake (Carol) Branca; Stepchildren Gregg (Stef), Kim (Dave), Jeff (Taylor); Grandchildren; Mia, Elena, Isla, Emme, and Ollie; along with many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Road (1/2 mile South of Irving Park Road) Roselle, on Friday July 19 ^th from 10:00am until time of memorial service 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society .
