Bharat Ohri

Bharat Bhushan Ohri, aged 81, passed away on December 13, 2024. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bharat was born on October 2, 1943 in Firozpur, India where he spent his formative years. He went on to attend engineering college at Punjab Engineering College and later became a mechanical engineer. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

But more than anything, Bharat was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Bharat enjoyed listening to and singing his favorite Indian songs. He also enjoyed sharing stories about his childhood with his grandchildren. Bharat was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges life brought.

Bharat is survived by his loving wife, Rekha, his children, Aprajita [Sameer], Rishi [Pooja] and his grandchildren, Sachin, Anjali, Ajay, Meera and Nikhil. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A private funeral service will be held for family and close friends on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of cremation at 1:00 pm CST at Countyside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett, Illinois 60103.
