Betty J. Higgins, 84, of Elgin died June 3, 2014. Betty was the beloved mother of David (Victoria Karlov) Higgins, Dennis (Trina) Higgins, and the late Patricia Higgins; loving grandmother of Chelsea (Pat) Fait, Alison Higgins, Jessica (Jon) Hopp, Matthew Higgins and Aaron Higgins; proud great grandmother of Henry Hopp.
A longtime member of St. Thomas More Church Betty was a passionate volunteer of the St. Vincent De Paul Society through the church. Betty was an avid reader and a member of L.O.S.S.
Visitation Sunday, June 8, 3:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert Street (at Middle Street) South Elgin. Funeral Monday 10:15a.m. to St. Thomas More Church Mass 11:00a.m. Following service cremation will take place privately at Countryside Crematory.
