Betty Lee Brashear Crofton

Betty Lee Crofton nee Brashear, 86 passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 after a short illness. Betty was born on the family farm in Viper, Kentucky, with six brothers and sisters, that she loved dearly. She moved to Chicago when she was 18 years old and met and married her life-partner of 67 years, George Crofton. Betty worked at Motorola for 34 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) and an avid patriot. She had a passion for genealogy, she was able to trace her family line to the early settlers in America.

She was the proud mother of two children, Pamela Nadine Berlin, Richard Kendrick Crofton (Yvonne Novak) and one granddaughter, Nicole Lee Berlin (Ben Crowther). She is also survived by her sister: Dulcenia Salvitti (Louis), brother: Richard Brashear (Ginger) and her youngest sister: Lenora Burgett (Leslie).

Betty was preceded in death by her husband George Andrew Crofton, brother: Kenny Brashear (Lorraine), sister: Jo Ann Ferguson (John), and brother: Glenn Brashear (Pamelia).

She was very loved and will be missed dearly.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 333 Roselle Rd. Roselle, IL. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm.
