Bert West

Bert V. West, 77, of Bloomingdale, died June 13, 2013. Born February 27, 1937 in Chicago, he was the son of Bertram and Gladys (nee Hammar). An avid Sox and Bears fan, Bert was a member of the Garden Club in Bloomingdale, volunteered at Cantigny and was very active at St. Paul Evangelical Church. He will be missed by many, especially his family. Survivors include wife of 49 years Georgette (nee Esch); son Matthew; grandsons Michael and John; brothers Warren (Lajuanna), Bernard (Ellen) and Bruce; sisters Milly (Ken) Konieczny, Jean Wayman and sister-in-law Emily West. He was preceded in death by his parents a sister Pat and brother Marshall. Memorial Service 10:30a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014 at St. Paul Evangelical, 118 1st St, Bloomingdale.
