Berniece Rettenmaier nee Aschoff of Bartlett; beloved wife of the late William C.; loving mother of Elizabeth A. Rettenmaier, Mary (Kevin) Holmes and Margaret (Kevin) Werner; cherished grandmother of Andre, Jason, Mark, Reese, Allison, Christian and Elyse; survived by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. A member of the Lay order of Carmelite. Visitation Monday 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Tuesday 9:15 a.m. to Resurrection Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. Burial Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it was Berniece's desire that friends honor her memory with donations towards the restoration of the Carmelite convent in Lisieux, France.
