After Bea married Chet in Chicago, they left their families and friends and moved to Washington DC. They had four children in DC before moving back to a new house in Niles, Illinois. Bea put her energy into raising the kids, cooking new recipes, gardening, volunteering at school, chauffeuring to baseball games and girl scout meetings, managing expenses and keeping everyone’s schedule. She offset her home skills by joining a Women’s Club, canasta club, and bowling league. Bea relaxed by playing pinochle, dominating Scrabble and reading books. She joined the workforce in 1968 as an administrative assistant at cap-and-gown company, ER Moore. Chet and Bea moved to Bartlett, Illinois in 1992. She remained in the house after Chet’s passing in 2006, surrounded by family and a neighborhood of gracious friends. Bea loved watching her children grow and prosper, and loved seeing the amazement of the world through the eyes of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bea’s very positive attitude was always on display and evident to everyone around her.
