Bernard Fischer

Bernard R. Fischer, 88, of Bartlett for 30years, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Born October 25, 1922 in Germany. He was the son of Adolph and Afra (nee Schuster). A veteran of WWII having served in the Army. Bernard owned A Fischer Tool for many years with his family; Bernard was a hard working man who loved to help others. He enjoyed model trains, skiing, traveling and was even a state swimming champion at his high school. His big heart will be missed by the family and friends he loved so much. Beloved husband of 36 years to Margaret (nee Caccavari); loving father to Mary (Kevin Jones) Fischer; Dear grandfather to Maia and Lily Rose; cherished brother to Josephine; fond uncle to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Henry.
Visitation Monday 3:00p.m.-9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Tuesday 10:30a.m. going to St. Peter Damian Church, mass 11:00a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 W.
