Barry Rogers

April 16, 1951 — May 18, 2024

Barry G. Rogers, of Elgin.  Devoted husband of Jayne  (nee: McKay); loving dad of Carrie (Trevor) Kirkpatrick, Katie (Bryce) Runkel, Andrew Rogers and Robert Rogers; dear Grandpa of Aidan; much loved brother of Ric (Marian) Rogers, Jim (Diane) Rogers and the late Lisa; and son of the late Maurice and Julia Rogers.

Barry had an extensive career in the Machine Tool industry that saw him travel all over the globe as a sales and marketing expert, a senior advisor and a mentor to many. His work spanned over 5 decades and included seasons with LK, Renishaw Inc, Sunnen, Haas and lastly at Tornos as Senior Advisor.

He was an experienced motorcycle rider, and had travelled many thousands of miles over the years, especially enjoying rides and community with his treasured HighRoad Riders Motorcycle Group.

He loved the outdoors, shooting and hunting, being on the ranch with dear friends Jack and Laurel and enjoying time with family and friends over food and drink.Lots of it!

He was a master chicken wing chef, with a “secret”recipe known only by a select few!  He was passionate about sharing his faith and loved participating in outreach events.
