Barbara Parsley

Barbara L. Parsley (nee O’Gara), 85, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024. Born January 29, 1939 in Chicago. Barbara was a retiree of General Motors where she worked as a welder. Barbara was a very fun, loving person, with a big heart. After retirement from GM, she worked as a caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Rosamond O’Gara. Mom of Michael (Tina) Sirotzki, Veronica Sirotzki and Paula Restis; loving Nana of Johnny, Heather, and Robby; Cherished great-grandma of Elaina, Aiyana and Willow; Dear sister of Janice (Jack) Wozniak; Sister in law to Dottie Knutson; Aunt to Pamela Traynor; Stepmom to Marshall, Leisa and Tony Parsley. Dearest friend of Chris Freeman. Last but not least, her cat, and beloved companion, Winnie Marie, who passed away this year also.

Cremation is private at the Countryside Crematory with burial at Acacia Park Cemetery will be also private.
