Barbara Ann Meisner (nee Vieracker), 80, of Carol Stream, died peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Charter Senior Living where she was lovingly cared for during the last 20 months. Her long struggle with dementia came to an end. Barbara has been leaving us in stages and we have been saying goodbye to her also in stages. She is now at home with our God, restored to her true self and enjoying the company of those who have passed before her.

Born September 7, 1940 in Geneva, Barbara was caring, honest, loving and giving of herself. She was a talented artisan and loved her country crafts and antiques. She sang in church choirs and volunteered there and with several other groups. Her faith was central to her life. She was a true friend of many but most of all she loved her family and they loved her.

Barbara is survived by her husband David; children Corinne (James), August (Dianne), Anthony (Jackie) and Jenny; grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Daniel, Emily, Deena, Kristie and Anthony as well as numerous great-grandchildren; sister Roberta (Richard) and sister-in-law Carol. She is proceeded in death by her grandchild Joe, great-grandchild CJ and brother Richard.

Cremation is private at the Countryside Crematory with a memorial service on May 11, 2021 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 250 N. Gary Avenue, Carol Stream, IL 60188 or DuPage Art League, 218 W Front St., Wheaton, IL 60187 would be appreciated.

We mourn her passing and at the same time we are oh so grateful for her presence and influence in our lives.
