Barbara Hardesty

Barbara Sue Danner Hardesty was born on Sept. 19, 1942 in Beyers Hospital in Elgin Il to her parents Dorothy Gail nee Webber and Frank L. Danner. She resided in Bartlett her entire life, graduating from Elgin High School, class of 1960. During her lifetime she was employed at the Bartlett Food Basket and Bartlett Police Department for 10 years as a records clerk, grade school crossing guard, and dispatcher. Following the Bartlett Police Department she was hired by the Bartlett Fire Protection District working there for 15 years. She married Richard Hardesty of Carlisle, Indiana on July 30, 1960 until the time of Richard’s death on November 23, 1997. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Lee (Rita) and Michael Ray Hardesty along with grandchildren Ronald Lee II, Katlynn Rose, Rhianna Christina and Michael Richard Hardesty; mother Dorothy Gail Danner of Bartlett; sister Deanna (Al) Grantham of Elgin, Sister in law Susan Hardesty Horton of Oaktown, IN. brother in laws Robert E. Hardesty of Carlisle, In., Morrison L. Hardesty(Sharon) of Valparaiso, In and numerous nieces and nephews; special caretaker and friend Laura Zachelmeyer along with her very close friend since the age of 12 Yvonne (George) Jones, she leaves behind may other beloved friends.
