Barbara J. Garapolo, 89, nee Shields of Schaumburg; devoted wife of the late Frank; loving mother of Julie (Richard) Findon, Janice (Ron) Zasada, Frank (Marianne) and the late Donald; cherished grandmother of Alex and Stephanie Findon, Joshua Findon Burns, Lindsey (Ryan) Johnson, Michelle (Eduardo) Solis, Ron (RJ) Zasada, Nicholas Garapolo, Amie (Dave) Ring and Bryan Garapolo and adored great grandmother of Finley and Raymond Ring and Emilia Solis.
Barbara worked for Coombs Associates for 35 years, and retired at 67. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and her beloved Sun Times Crossword Puzzles.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2:00 pm at Mout Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Il. The family would appreciate any memorials be made out to the The Alzheimers Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
